What others have said about doing these fitness accountability groups:

“This year I was invited to join another fitness challenge group on Facebook that I’m finding to be even better. It’s a smaller group and we all motivate each other, helping me stay on track with my workouts. I’m definitely feeling the benefits of it.”

“I’m doing the P90X3 workout, and it’s actually helping strenghthen my injury prone areas (back, rotator cuff, and knee).”

“I like streaming all of the different videos. The group really helps me keep on track with my weight and fitness goals. It is also fun and motivating. There is a lot of great tips and information.”

Anti-Inflammatory Diet Series

– Upcoming dates soon to be announced –

By Julie Koning, Registered Dietitian

If you have any questions about the class, contact the instructor Julie at 248-795-5494 or

A number of medical conditions are associated with too much inflammation in the body. Inflammatory states can include: Asthma, emphysema, cancer, chronic pain (arthritis, fibromyalgia), Type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance, obesity, heart disease, bowel disease, autoimmune diseases, food sensitivities and more.

The diet class will focus on the reasons behind implementing this diet and how to increase healthy foods, meal planning and tips to create healthy habits to ultimately target the underlying silent problem of inflammation.

The cooking class will show how to cook and prepare foods in an “anti-inflammatory” way. Learn practical ways to add in the recommended amounts of fresh vegetables, fruits and healthy foods in great tasting recipes.

The lifestyle class will go beyond diet and show how to cope in living in a “pro-inflammatory” environment and reveal lifestyle changes to support the many ways to bring down inflammation in the body. Topics include environmental exposures, physical activity, stress and relaxation techniques, natural products and more.
